You've probably watched some of my other videos with the ratsnakes catching bats in this cave. This is an extended version of more of the same.

***SPOILER ALERT*** I finally caught a western diamondback rattlesnake on camera in the cave. I see them on occasion in the cave but this is the first time I've caught one on video to show y'all. See video time position below on highlight list.

The previous videos were some "highlights" but the following version is for those of you that REALLY like snakes vs. bats. Those that want the "highlight version/Cliff Notes" PLEASE look below at the time table to speed forward to the "good parts". I wouldn't normally include the "B" clips but in this video, I did. I see these every week & I honestly try to keep my videos between five & ten minutes(or shorter). This video is eighteen minutes of nothing but snakes chasing bats. I hope you herpers (snake people) enjoy it. This video was made from about 900 thirty second clips collected from this trail camera this past week. The bats constantly fly past the sensors setting off the camera so most are discarded during screening.

Here are the highlight approx. times:
00: 30 - ratsnake taking up position on center rock
4:07 - the camera missed the capture but the constriction follows quickly
5:10 - snake on left gets hit & knocked down by bat
5:40 - snake back on center rock
6:18 - snake catches & constricts bat
7:00 - snake hangs really close in front of camera
9:10 - snake close to camera hunts bats, tongue flicking
9:40 - snake crawls across camera...literally on the camera
10:00 - initial mystery snake w/bat shows self on lower left of screen
14:30 - lots of bats exiting cave with snake hunting on central rock
14:50 - snake catches bat from above camera, real close
17:00 - western diamondback rattle snake shows up in lower right corner with a ratsnake, note his big blocky head, narrow neck, & plain unmarked under belly
18:00 - this is from a different cave passage (w/ snakes & bats, too) about 20 feet away from this camera & looking the opposite direction.
